Day two was much more relaxing. The process felt old hat already and I stayed in bed longer afterward and read an old Anne Lamott book. I thought I would meditate but it sounded like too much work! Since yesterday’s insemination I have been absolutely exhausted. It’s probably the hay fever and the stress of this new process.
I just learned that a fertilized egg stays in the fallopian tubes for three days! There is sometimes implantation spotting around 6-12 days after ovulation so I’ll be on the lookout for that as the earliest possible sign. This is the first time that it occured to me that I might drive myself crazy for the next two weeks. Thank God we’re going to Berkeley next weekend.
